Reminder: Teaching Gallery proposals sought

The Kemper Art Museum is accepting Teaching Gallery proposals for spring 2017. The deadline for proposals is May 31. The Teaching Gallery is dedicated to exhibiting works from the museum’s collection with connections to university curricula.

‘Eyes on the Prize’ rebroadcast this weekend

The “Eyes on the Prize” series on the civil rights movement will be rebroadcast by the Nine Network this weekend. A follow-up documentary features previously unaired materials from University Libraries’ Henry Hampton Collection and airs at 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 6.

Answer: B) Cupples Hall I. Samuel Cupples, a St. Louis merchant, worked with Calvin Woodward, a mathematics professor, to establish a Manual Training School, the first of its kind, based on the philosophy of Rousseau and Benjamin Franklin.
