Camp Yeakey, Tate elected to National Academy of Education

Two education professors, Carol Camp Yeakey and William F. Tate, have been elected as the newest members of the National Academy of Education for outstanding scholarship on education.

WashU Expert: Brokered convention a disaster for GOP

As the Republican Party rolls toward selecting its presidential nominee, some party leaders and media are speculating about a brokered convention. The move likely would hurt Republicans in the general election, said election law expert Greg Magarian.

Medical school department gets new name: Neuroscience

The Department of Anatomy and Neurobiology — one of the original departments at the School of Medicine — has been renamed the Department of Neuroscience. The new name formalizes the department’s focus but does not diminish its commitment to teaching anatomy.

‘Dial 10’ to take effect April 15 on Medical Campus

Beginning April 15, changes to the telephone system used on the Medical Campus and at several BJC HealthCare facilities will require landline callers to use area codes when dialing internal and external numbers.

Spring break begins this weekend, and, as students and faculty take a break, so does the daily Record. Emergency test Tuesday; tornado policy updated

Washington University will test its emergency siren systems at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 15, as part of a Missouri statewide tornado drill. The tests will take place unless there is the potential for severe weather that day or some other emergency is occurring.
