Axelrod to speak Thursday

With the presidential race in high gear, the Assembly Series brings a speaker this week with key political insight. Campaign strategist David Axelrod, a former adviser to President Obama, will speak at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 18, in Graham Chapel.

Sam Bhayani, MD (center), has been named the Holekamp Family Chair in Urology at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and the School of Medicine. Bhayani is a leader in research aimed at better patient care.

Obituary: Donald Lasater, former trustee, 90

Donald E. Lasater, a former member of the Board of Trustees, died of natural causes Friday, Feb. 5, 2016, in St. Louis. He was 90. Services will be held tomorrow, Feb. 16.

Medical school receives rebate for energy upgrades

The School of Medicine has received a $369,000 rebate from Ameren for upgrades to heating and air-conditioning systems on the Medical Campus. The efforts are part of the university’s long-term commitment to sustainability.
